His newborn is a longed-for blessing for Kwao, but in the eyes of others a curse. His child’s life is threatened and the old war-veteran must take action.
At a time when the majority of Afric’s countries were still colonized, Kwao, a wounded war veteran who fought in World War II and a proud father to be, lives in village where modernity, tradition, politics, love and drinking is part of everyday life. With a failed marriage to a white woman behind him, he cannot wait for his first child to be born. A child, it turns out, not quite like other children.

The inexhaustible filmmaker Henric Duparc’s film is a story about a father, whose loyalty to his country and traditions, is only exceeded by his love for his newborn child.
