While pushing the envelope at work, BB struggles to resist his father’s attempts to control him when it comes to matters of the heart and his future with Kesso.
On a superficial level the lives of young professionals in Conakry resemble those of their peers in Paris. Though in Conakry, where religion and tradition still has a strong influence, being legally free to say what you want and fall in love with whomever your heart desires, does not necessarily translate into your message being heard or being free to marry, or even see whomever you want. As BB’s secret relationship with Kesso is becoming increasingly serious, the pressure from his father a religious man who has ambitious plans for his son - is becoming harder to resist.

Clouds over Conakry is a well-directed multi-award winning film that deals with some of the most burning questions that African youth are facing today.
