Tafdnar, a small fishermen's village nearby Agadir, stopped living seven years ago, the day the majority of the men died at sea.
Ever since that day, drowsiness rained down on the village. The women lost husbands, brothers and sons and they never got over it.

The village is nothing but sadness. The women, who need to keep on living without the men's presence, have sunk into a soft depression that is eating them alive.

Amongst the very few men still alive, there is Amghar, the headman of the village, a notorious alcoholic, who nevertheless tries to preserve some kind of life in the village. There is also Daoud, a young man who dreams of going fishing on the open sea.
