Director, Editor and Producer (Iran)
Born in 1966 in Hamedan, Iran, Reza Serkanian made his first short films at the age of 17 years and received numerous awards in his country. He studied cinema in Tehran and in 1989, his films are getting recognition beyond the borders of Iran. In 1997 he decided to leave the country where the voice of a traditional cinema seems drawn to him.
After two years in the Netherlands, he moved to France where he made several short films and documentaries. Meanwhile, he pursued a career as a chief editor and chief operator. In 2006 he returned to his roots with the writing of "Noces éphémères" and partnering with the creation of Overlap-Films, a production company.
