Actress and Singer (South Africa)

Elma POSTMA is a South African actress best known for her role as Dezi Terreblanche (nee van Jaarsveld) in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan, from 2001-2007.

In June 2007 she announced she was leaving the show to "redefine" herself, having outgrown the role.
Her theatre credits include roles in the stage productions of Hartsondes (2004) which was directed by Henry Mylne (an adaptation of the play Crimes Of The Heart by Beth Henley); Haaks (2005), a two-hander with Chris Vorster directed by 7de Laan director Pierre van Pletzen; and the dark comedy Monsters (2006), which was also directed by van Pletzen.

Postma is also a regular MC and guest speaker at functions. Elma hosts the kykNET reality television series Boer Soek 'n Vrou, based on the international format Farmer Wants a Wife, since September, 2008. In 2010 she starred as Dr. Sara van Graan in the SABC2 drama series The Mating Game, from March to June. In 2011 she joined the kykNET soapie Binneland (formerly known as Binnelanders and Binneland Sub Judice) as a main cast member.
