It also highlights the life of other two lovers Virginia and Leo who had various obstacles in their relationships but they were determined to make it work.

The fictitious, but very realistic, series was launched in 2009, telling the story of a group of friends in Nairobi who must navigate the complexities of life, love and HIV prevention. It deals openly with sometimes controversial themes including multiple sexual partnerships, alcohol abuse and HIV testing : SHUGA is a very entertaining and sexy series - with a message. Beware, it's for young adults, not for children.
