Arnold Antonin is famous for his social, political and cultural commitment. He created and directs the Petion-Bolivar Film Cetre, a focus point for all wannabe filmmakers in Haiti. He receviez thé Djibril Diop Mambety in Cannes in 2002, as a lifelong achèvement award. He is the only director honored 3 times in a row by the Paul Robeson Award in FESPACO, Ouagadougou in 2007, 2009 and 2011 (best diaspora film prize). He has chaired the Association Haïtienne des Cinéastes (AHC - Filmmakers' Guild), 2005 - 2009.
